Hey there! We're VibeSniffer — the $4.99 code health tool that gives your repos a vibe score. We respect your code and your privacy. Here's exactly what we do with your data, in plain English.

The Short Version

We scan your code to generate a health report, then delete it
We keep your scan results (the report, not your actual code)
We don't sell your data to anyone, ever
You can delete your account and data anytime

What We Collect

From GitHub

When you connect your GitHub account:

Your GitHub username and public profile info
Your repository code (only when you run a scan)
Your email address from your GitHub profile

Payment Info

When you buy a scan:

Payment details are handled 100% by Stripe (we never see your credit card)
We get a transaction ID from Stripe to confirm you paid

Website Usage

Session cookies to keep you logged in
Basic analytics to see which features people use most

That's it. We don't collect your browsing history, personal files, or anything else from your computer.

How We Use Your Data

Code Scanning Process

You authorize us to read a specific repo
We download your code temporarily
We run 35 pattern-based rules against it
We generate a plain-English report with a vibe score (A-F)
We immediately delete your code from our servers
We save the scan report (which contains findings, not your actual code)

Other Uses

Send you the scan results
Process your payment
Improve our scanning rules (using anonymized patterns, never your actual code)
Send occasional product updates (you can unsubscribe anytime)

What We DON'T Do

We don't store your code permanently — it's deleted right after scanning
We don't sell your data — not to advertisers, not to anyone
We don't share your code — with third parties, AI training, or anyone else
We don't monitor your repos — we only see what you explicitly choose to scan
We don't spam you — just scan results and occasional updates

Data Retention

Your code: Deleted immediately after scanning (usually within minutes)
Scan results: Kept indefinitely so you can access your reports
Account info: Kept until you delete your account
Payment records: Kept for tax/legal requirements (usually 7 years)

Your Rights

You're in control of your data:

Export Your Data

Want a copy of your scan results? Just ask — we'll send you everything we have about you.

Revoke GitHub Access

You can disconnect VibeSniffer from your GitHub account anytime:

Go to GitHub.com → Settings → Applications
Find "VibeSniffer" and click "Revoke"
We'll lose access immediately

If you're in the European Union, you have extra rights:
